What is health coaching?

Health Coaches are knowledgeable advisors who provide continuous support and guidance as you set goals and make sustainable changes that improve your health and happiness. Health Coaches provide a holistic approach to nutrition designed to empower you to achieve your current and future health goals. Some examples of these goals might include weight loss, stress reduction, increased exercise, healthy cooking education, nutritional education, etc.

As a holistic health coach I have studied all the major dietary theories and will work with you to find the food and lifestyle choices that are right for you. I will listen to you and support you to make
gradual, lifelong changes that enable you to reach your identified health goals. Together we will identify and explore health concerns specific to you, your body and your life. We will look at
how all parts of your life, including nutrition, relationships, career and spirituality, affect your health as a whole. Next, we will establish a plan and discover the tools you need to achieve the
health and happiness you desire.

My health coaching approach is not to dwell on calories, carbs, fats, and proteins. It is not to create lists of restrictions or lists of good and bad foods. Instead, we will work together to create a healthier way of eating that fits your lifestyle and needs. One that works for YOU!

 

 

How will health coaching benefit me?

We can all agree it is important to make healthy choices in life. The hard part lies in actually
making the right choices. No one way of eating works for everyone. This is in part due to
the idea that each person has unique food and lifestyle needs. The Institute of Integrative
Nutrition™ refers to this concept as BioIndividuality™. However, finding the right foods for
your body is not enough. To truly feel healthy and to be healthy, we must also strive for healthy
relationships, fulfilling careers, regular physical activity and spiritual awareness.
